Sikhism



There are 20 million Sikhs in the world, most of whom live in the Punjab province of India. The religion, that is called Sikhism, was founded by Guru Nanak in the 16th century. The most important thing in Sikhism is the internal religious state of the individual. Sikhism is a monotheistic religion and stresses the importance of doing good actions. Followers believe that the way to lead a good life is to think and feel God all the time. Qualities like honesty, equality, generosity and diligence are very relevant to them.
